Research interests

Medicinal Chemistry: Physico-chemical (pKa, logP/D, aqueous solubility, permeability, chemical stability) characterization of lead compounds, drug candidates and natural products. Investigations of macromolecules – drug-like compounds interactions using spectrophotometric, UV-pH-metric and potentiometric methods (cyclodextrin – and serum albumin – drug systems). Application of in vitro models for drug metabolism (liver microsomal and metalloporphyrin-based biomimetic models and its use in flow chemistry system).

Analytical Chemistry: Purity and integrity characterization of drug-like compounds with wide range polarity and ionization property using versatile LC, LC-MS methods. Characterization of chemical fingerprint and identification of potential antioxidant compounds of plant extracts using LC-MS/(MS) techniques. Application of biomimetic chromatographic methods for investigation of drug – plasma protein binding. Identification of drug metabolism pathway and reactive metabolites using LC-MS/MS(HR-MS) techniques.
